Episode 4: The Temple of the Sun

Season 1, Episode 4: The Temple of the Sun

Art by P. Emerson Williams and James Curcio

We are all just costumes death wears for a season.

In a harrowing turn of events, Ayta, Elena, and Nyssa are led to the summit of the Temple of the Sun, where they face a trial that will test their resilience and bind them in unexpected ways. They are swept into a ritual that marks them in flesh and spirit, intended to bind them as possessions of the city’s enigmatic deity.

Amidst their ordeal, a mysterious figure emerges, offering a possible escape or deeper entanglement in the temple’s dark confines.

Perhaps you've been having prophetic dreams that won't stop, or hear the spirits of the trees demanding a blood sacrifice every time you leave your apartment. But those are just dreams... right?

A mythpunk universe combining elements of speculative fiction, magical realism, fantasy and near-future noir.

Many Cycles begin in a world much like our own, with characters who know little of the world beyond their waking lives. Gradually, the crack opens between the mundane and the fantastic, the wondrous and the horrific, the past and the future.
